Grayscale Investments is seeking a Director of Marketing to support the continued growth of its existing investment products, the Bitcoin Investment Trust (Symbol: GBTC) and Ethereum Classic Investment Trust, and play a key role in launching other digital currency-focused investment vehicles. The Director of Marketing will manage the full range of marketing activities for Grayscale’s growing suite of investment products, with AUM in excess of $800 million.
The candidate must be able to think strategically to craft and drive detailed execution of Grayscale’s marketing strategy across all client types, spanning both institutional and retail segments. The Director of Marketing should also have deep experience in marketing investment products and a track record of success establishing and building relationships with key players in the ecosystem.
The Director of Marketing will be tasked with promoting the digital currency asset class, establishing a strategic marketing plan for raising and retaining assets in Grayscale’s various products, identifying strategic sponsorship opportunities, and formulating creative marketing tactics.
Develop an annual marketing plan to support the Grayscale product suite, including both public and private investment vehicles.
Planning and implementation of marketing campaigns using a variety of communication channels to deliver against Grayscale’s sales initiatives.
Be a Grayscale brand advocate, working with the Business Development, Research, and Sales teams on messaging and product positioning.
Coordinating, planning, and booking proprietary and sponsored events.
Develop a full suite of marketing collateral and resources that can be used by the Business Development, Research, and Sales teams.
Contribute to market intelligence, competitor analysis, trend analysis and data collection of the global digital currency market.
Minimum of 3 years of related experience; previous marketing or communications experience at a top tier ETF, mutual fund or private fund management company.
Demonstrated success at clearly defining marketing tactics and priorities to achieve business strategy.
Successful commercial execution at scale (i.e., driving many millions in annual new AUM, delivering large, complex marketing programs to FAs and retail consumers).
Built communications to both ‘high end’ retail/institutional as well as ‘mass affluent’ or ‘average Financial Advisor’ constituencies.
Understanding of asset management and financial services products and how they combine in a portfolio to meet consumer’s financial plans/objectives.
Bachelor’s degree from top university (ideal majors: Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing)
